SCORE and UnitedHealthcare Partner to Launch Play.Move.SCORE

Jason Witten’s SCORE Foundation, local Boys & Girls Clubs and UnitedHealthcare have kicked off “Play. Move. Score.,” a summer-long health and fitness program to help fight childhood obesity.
Dozens of Boys & Girls Club members took part in the program’s opening event Monday, June 7, at the Grand Prairie Boys & Girls Club. Dallas Cowboys star tight end Jason Witten also attended the event.

DeAngelo Williams Hosts "Player With A Purpose" Charity Fundraiser

It was a special night in downtown Charlotte as Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams hosted the first "Player With A Purpose" event, benefiting the DeAngelo Williams Foundation on Mon., Nov. 9. The event, which featured a dinner, a Vegas-themed gaming experience, silent and live auctions and appearances by Pathers stars like Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Mushin Muhammad, raised more than $30,000 for the foundation, which works with Charlotte-based organizations to benefit breast cancer survivors and children in need of legal assistance. |

Newman's Night Of Stars & Steaks Raises Big Money For Rising Stars
November 2, 2009
Dallas Cowboys defensive back Terence Newman raised more than $115,000 for his charitable foundation at his second annual “Night of Stars & Steaks” event.
The event raised considerable funds for the foundation, which conducts a mentorship program with student-athletes throughout Dallas. Each year, the foundation selects 10 ninth-graders for Terence to follow throughout their high school careers. In addition to providing the kids in the program with unique experiences and educational outings, he grants each child at least $5,000 in scholarship money upon their graduation.
